A big thank you to Covered Goods for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions mentioned below are solely mine.
In the past few weeks, we have been trying to adjust to having two kiddos around here and while it’s an adjustment for everyone, it has been an even bigger of an adjustment for me. As any mom that is exclusively breastfeeding knows, it’s a huge change to begin nursing every 2-3 hours, especially throughout the night. You have to consider your baby’s schedule in every decision you make, even something as simple as going to the grocery store, and you have to do a bit more preparing if you know that you will be out when it’s time to nurse again.
With our first child, someone made me an adorable nursing cover that was the “traditional” style and had the band at the top that held it open then draped over the front. It worked really well for the most part, but when I was wearing a shirt that wasn’t nursing friendly (like a t-shirt, for example), I was really self conscious about my sides and tummy showing while I was trying to nurse and had to pack an extra blanket to keep me completely covered. I also had to make sure that I was in a corner-type location so that no one would walk behind me and accidentally catch a look down into the cover.
So when Covered Goods shared their great design with me, I was really excited to give it a try! I love that it is really versatile and can be used as a nursing cover or a car seat cover, and really love how well it functions overall. As a nursing cover, I can wear it over both shoulders, just one shoulder, or as a scarf when I’m not using it! It also fits perfectly around our car seat and protects our little girl from sunshine that the canopy doesn’t block, as well as the wind on those cooler days!
Since Selah was born, I have used the cover a few times in a few different ways and really love it. It’s so lightweight, comes in adorable colors, and is super soft! It also folds up really easily and doesn’t take up a lot of space in our diaper bag, which is really great since our bag also doubles as my purse! I’ve found that being prepared and having helpful tools really does make nursing a lot easier on all of us and my Covered Goods nursing cover is definitely the best nursing cover I’ve tried–all you nursing mommas need to put it on your wishlist!
